Do you remember the last time you read a book? Whether it was a page-turning thriller or a thought-provoking memoir, reading has the power to transport us to different worlds, broaden our perspectives, and inspire us to become better versions of ourselves.
But with busy schedules and endless distractions, it's easy to let reading fall by the wayside. That's why today, I want to remind you of the many benefits of reading, and encourage you to make time for it in your daily life.
First and foremost, reading is an excellent way to learn and grow. Whether you're interested in history, science, or philosophy, there's a book out there that can teach you something new. By reading widely and diversely, you can gain new insights into the world around you and expand your knowledge in ways you never thought possible.
But reading isn't just about learning. It's also a great way to unwind and de-stress. In fact, research has shown that reading can reduce stress levels by up to 68%. By immersing yourself in a good book, you can forget about your worries and escape to a more peaceful, imaginative world.
Of course, reading also has numerous cognitive benefits. By regularly exercising your brain through reading, you can improve your vocabulary, enhance your critical thinking skills, and even increase your empathy and emotional intelligence.
But perhaps the most compelling reason to read is that it can inspire us to become better people. By reading about the lives and experiences of others, we can gain a deeper understanding of the world and our place in it. We can learn to empathize with others, appreciate different perspectives, and cultivate a more compassionate, open-minded outlook on life.
So, if you haven't picked up a book in a while, I encourage you to do so. Whether it's a classic novel, a memoir, or a self-help book, there's something out there for everyone. So take a break from your phone, turn off the TV, and lose yourself in a good book. You might be surprised at how much you enjoy it, and how much it enriches your life.

A second chance at love is a fight to the very end.

Guys like Alex Sullivan don’t come around every day, but when they do, they aren’t looking for girls like Morgan. She is the unexpected one, the unplanned daughter of parents who don’t want her; she has always stood in the shadow of her beautiful-but-dead twin sister. So when Morgan lands a marriage proposal from the handsome businessman, she pounces on the opportunity.

While Morgan is basking in the joy of feeling wanted for once, Alex’s untimely death sends her life into a downward spiral, and she’s left picking up the pieces while the tabloids, pesky neighbors, and an eight-point buck haunt her.

The only thing keeping Morgan grounded is her new found love of running. And then there’s her newly acquired business partner, stoic MMA fighter Nick “The Strangler” Stacks. Morgan and Nick have never been able to get along, but Alex’s tragic death forces them to interact when he leaves the two as owners of his successful gym.

After years of tepid interactions, Morgan and Nick finally find that they have more in common than they previously thought, and it’s enough to make one of them want to tap out on their disastrous relationship for good.

The Heat Wave drew a violence that was swift and efficient at breaking humanity. Abraham’s people have come to the rescue—only for those they deem worthy.

Banished with the task of culling this planet and others, Abraham is pressured to meet his quota while the population on Earth dwindles. He is disturbed by what he witnesses. Until he meets Nova. Twice. She’s refused his offer of sanctuary because the promise of a floating city in the sky sounds absurd, even if it does offer safety and relief from the sweltering heat. This planet has a way of bringing certain people together, especially when they need it most. At the end of the world, there will be violence and there just might be a man from space playing 90’s tunes on a harmonica.

Meg Clark has turned out to be everything her father and the people of her little North Country town of have been saying her whole life: nothin’ but a piece of white trash. In an effort to hide her past and turn herself around, she spent her inheritance on the perfect little house with a white picket fence. Then something terrible happened and Meg got sent to county lockup so her fiancé, Jim, wouldn’t have to. And then everyone started waking up…dead.

Good thing escaping from lockup wasn’t hard. Now Meg is running and the walking dead are following. In a last ditch effort to find weapons to protect herself, Meg finds Sparrow instead. A tall, strange man with a quirk, Sparrow has an obsession with feathers and the only goal that’s on his mind is finding an old barn on Route 37 with a snowy owl in its rafters.

Meg’s headed to Kingston, where she and Jim agreed to meet if they ever got separated. But sometimes, crossing the border brings more than just freedom and protection and safety. Sometimes it brings questions that someone like Meg would prefer not to answer. And everyone keeps asking questions, including Sparrow. He thinks she’s hiding something and he’s not impressed by her stories of the sins she’s been committing all her life.

While Sparrow’s the one who’s a bit cracked in the head, it never occurs to Meg that she could be the one who’s not remembering something. Like what really happened that day she killed those seven men.
